Our Historic Buildings
Our historic buildings have been grouped into categories, as a way of introducing
them and as a way of helping you to browse; they seem to make more sense this way
instead of alphabetically. We have quite a few don't we? When you see them listed
on the page this way it can be a surprise to non-Devonport residents, even within our
own city of Plymouth: "Wow, didn't know these were here" is often heard from visitors.
Most of the structures mentioned below were built during the 1800s, but for the
purposes of this website the definition of 'historic' is anything more than 50 years
old; anything less than 50 years old we will term as a current building. Just to draw a line.
At present there are only two links below, but information on all these buildings, together with photos, to be added in due course.
