CRIME

Crime figures for the period 11th December to 18th December are up from 9 crimes reported last year to 23 this year.

These include:-Two x theft, two x shoplifting, five x criminal damage, six x assault, two x drugs (2 persons arrested following a drugs warrant executed by the team), one burglary and five others.

The burglary occurred on Thurs. 17th December at a ground floor flat in Clowance Street between 1.45 and 3.20pm. Large TV, DVD player, Nintendo game, laptop and CD’s stolen.

Anti-social behaviour incidents recorded in the same period in 2008 were 6 compared with 5 for this year.

2. Close windows and doors
3. Don’t leave presents and valuables on display
4. Remove all valuables, tools, ipod, mobiles, sat nav and money
5. Park your vehicle in a safe place

PACT Priorities in your Neighbourhood

The Bobbies on the Beat steering group met on Weds. 18th October and set the following priorities for the team for the following 6 weeks: -
  • 1. Drug dealing and use.
  • 2. High profile policing to combat anti-social behaviour, with emphasis on Mount Wise youth.
  • 3. Violence offences.

The next meeting of the Bobbies on the Beat Steering Group is on Wednesday 30th December at 5.00pm at Brickfields Sports Centre, Devonport.
